Claire Winfield was appointed as the CEO at Sight Support Derbyshire in January 2013.  Claire joins us from the Royal Air Forces Association where she worked as the Director of Welfare.


Blind and Visual Impairment Football Coaching Event

Have you heard about blind football but never knew how to get involved?

or, do you have a visual impairment that limits your opportunities to play football?

If you answer yes to any of the above questions, then this event is perfect for you!

In partnership with Northampton Association for the Blind (NAB), the Northamptonshire Football Association have organised a coaching event for players with visual impairments. The event will include:

Up to 2 hours of expert and qualified football coaching, including a chance for players to have a go at Blind Football, under the supervision of experienced Blind Football coaches

All the appropriate equipment will be provided. Participants will just need to bring appropriate clothing, footwear and a drink

A chance for parents and players to learn what the pathway is for players with visual impairments to play for their country. Including, learn how players progress to the Great Britain Blind Football Squad.

All participants to receive reduced Northampton Town FC match tickets.

The event is taking place at Tresham College, Kettering on Saturday 17th March from 12pm – 2pm and is targeted at players between the ages of 11 – 19.
