Friends from the opposite sides of the world take part in a Charity Cycle Ride.
Sight Support Derbyshire trustee Heather Brighouse and Helen King cycled 450km on a tandem bike along the route of stage 13 of the Tour de France cycle race. Helen who flew from Australia is originally from Mackworth.
Heather recently moved back to Breadsall after spending the last 20 years living in Perth in Australia.
The two close friends have raised over £3000.00 for two charities - Sight Support Derbyshire and Rainbows Hospice in Loughborough.
Heather says ' We've both been training for the ride over the past 12 months but we've been doing it on opposite sides of the world. We cycled around 120km a day and camped overnight at various stops. It was a fabulous adventure with lots of laughs and sore body parts but not much sleep'.
