Sight Support Derbyshire provides specialised services for children and young people living in Derbyshire with a visual impairment aged between 6-18. We provide an opportunity for all to have fun, make friends and try something new.
Our groups in Derby and Chesterfield meet regularly after school during term time. Recently our members have made pizzas and focaccia in a Sight Support Derbyshire Bake-Off evening, learned balloon modelling and spent an evening tenpin bowling!
A wide range of activities are available to children and young people during the school holidays. These include trips out, workshops, sports activities and more. Often brothers and sisters are welcome too!
For parents, Sight Support Derbyshire's activities are a great way for your child to develop new skills and gain confidence in a safe environment.
We also work with families to set up one to one activities to benefit children and young people.
