Dinner in the dark

Fine food for people with an appetite for adventure – Derby Countys Dinner in the Dark is set to be an evening to remember. Derby County are hosting Derby’s first ever Dinner in the Dark with all proceeds going to their Charity of the Year Sight Support Derbyshire.

The evening will kick off at 6.30pm with a 2 course meal followed by a question and answer session with Derby County first team players James Bailey and Craig Bryson.

The event is a unique opportunity giving you the chance to eat in the dark and learn a little about the day to day experiences of blind and partially sighted people. James Bailey and Craig Bryson will be taking questions at the end of the dinner.

James Bailey says’ How many times do you get invited to a meal in the dark? I leapt at the chance to experience something really unique and raise money for our designated charity Sight Support Derbyshire. I hope as many people as possible come and join me and Craig Bryson for what will be a special night for Derby County fans’.

The dinner is being held on the 24th November, 6.30pm – 9pm, at the Holiday Inn Derby Riverlights in Derby. Tickets are £20 each.

Lindsey Hunt, Sales Manager from Holiday Inn Derby Riverlights says ’We are very excited at holding the first ever Dinner in the Dark for Derby County whilst supporting Sight Support Derbyshire - a local charity who make a real difference to blind and visually impaired peoples lives’.
