Leaving a Legacy

Discovering that you are losing your sight can be devastating. Sight Support Derbyshire is here to provide support and services to help all people suffering from sight loss to find ways of continuing to live a full and independent life.

You can make a dramatic difference to the lives of blind and visually impaired people throughout Derbyshire by remembering Sight Support Derbyshire in your will.

We are the largest provider of services to 9,500 visually impaired people in Derbyshire. With more than an estimated 27,000 people in the country affected by sight loss, your generous support can help us to ensure we reach more people than we’ve ever been able to before.

More and more people are suffering with a visual impairment as well living longer lives. At the same time more and more young people are experiencing sight problems due to the rise in diabetes.

At Sight Support Derbyshire’s advice and support centres in Derby City, Chesterfield and Bolsover we sell aids and equipment to make life easier for the visually impaired.

We also provide rehabilitation services for people who have recently lost their sight. Other key services we provide include Low Vision Assessments and Hospital Support Services.

Sight Support Derbyshire has a presence in every eye clinic in Derbyshire where sight loss is registered.

A gift left to Sight support Derbyshire not only lowers the tax threshold on the rest of your estate, it is also 100% tax free. Once you have provided for your family and friends, you can leave us a cash sum or a share of your estate, land or stocks and shares.
