Resource Centres

Sight Support Derbyshire’s Resource Centres provide support, information and advice on a variety of topics relating to visual impairment and dual sensory conditions. We have Resource Centres in Derby and Chesterfield plus our Mobile Resource Centre, which is regularly available in locations across the County.
Information on various eye conditions
Leaflets and information can be obtained on various eye conditions that detail the causes, symptoms and known treatments.
Demonstration of aids and equipment to assist with sight loss
We provide information and advice regarding products that will enhance your sight and make your life easier, with an opportunity to buy the various aids and equipment.
Mobile Resource Centre
Our Mobile Resource Centre is a traveling showroom, which visits over 30 venues per month, and is on the road four days a week delivering Sight Support Derbyshire’s services through the County. For more information please click here.
Signposting to different services and organizations that can offer help and support
In addition to Sight Support Derbyshire services, we provide information and contact details for statutory services; Community Care Workers, Welfare Rights, Library Services, Rehabilitation, Optometrists, St. Dunstan’s for ex forces personnel and may more.
