Run for free

Run for free in the Derby 10k on the 1st April 2012

Whether it is a New Years resolution, February blues, to get fit or try something new, we have the perfect solution. Take part in the Derby 10k for free by raising just £50 sponsorship to support blind and visually impaired people locally in Derbyshire.

Marsha O’Sullivan is taking part and hoping to raise £500 for Sight Support Derbyshire. Marsha says “I have struggled to do much exercise since giving birth to my two girls. Pregnancy does crazy things to the body and mine has been left a bit battered, but having seen Sight Support Derbyshire’s advert I'm grasping the nettle and hanging the consequences as I take on the Derby 10K to raise money for them. I have chosen this charity because I know a couple of people who, in later life, have lost or are in danger of losing their sight. It's with the support of organisations such as this that they've been able to face the change in their circumstances with fortitude and resolve. It’s a worthwhile cause I’m happy to put my best foot forward for”.
