Our priority activities

Over the next 4 years up to our centenary in 2014 we will focus on the following:

Growing and developing a range of services

  • Increasing the number of people who receive our services by 20% each year.
  • Providing more services that fit with the personalisation agenda and other changes to the social care market.
  • Delivering more services in partnership with other organisations.
  • Expanding the range of services to include counselling, support in the workplace and increased use of technology.
  • Extending services to all age groups and to a more diverse range of people from different communities.
  • Developing more support for carers and families of visually impaired people.
  • Broadening the scope of services to meet the needs of those who have other disabilities in addition to visual impairment.
