“Tin-Rattling” volunteers in demand

Sight Support Derbyshire are looking for people to get involved with collections or what we affectionately refer to as “tin-rattling”.

We hold regular collections, mainly around Derby City at the moment, but we are particularly keen to find people from the North of Derbyshire to take part.
You can find us outside bus stations, in supermarkets, on the city streets and even outside football grounds.

Mark Bates a volunteer at Sight Support Derbyshire said “I really enjoy the opportunity to get out there, to meet people on the street, to talk about the work the organisation does and raise money that is so important to delivering services throughout the county”.

We have a loyal group of people who get involved in collections regularly, wherever they
may be, but we need a few more people involved as we look to try and raise £9,000 before the year is out.

If you want to know more or are happy to get involved in collecting for Sight Support Derbyshire please call 01332 292 262.
