Welcome from our CEO
Welcome to Sight Support Derbyshire’s new website. This completes the rebranding exercise undertaken in the last nine months to re-launch our charity with a new name, logo and strategic plan. These were accompanied by new detailed strategies on fundraising, external communications and campaigning.
The new name and logo have proven to be very popular with blind and visually impaired users of our services, as well as donors, the media and general public.
The new name with its emphasis on support for people’s sight, is intended to convey positive messages of hope for those affected by visual impairment. It is also designed to communicate our commitment to preventing sight loss through encouraging good eye health care.
These positive messages are already finding a resonance across Derbyshire, with referrals for our children’s services up by 135% in the past six months and visits to our Resource Centres and calls to our helpline up by 27% since April of this year.
