Welfare benefits advice and support

 

As a visually impaired person you may be entitled to a range of benefits to assist you with maintaining independence. However at Sight Support Derbyshire we understand that the needs of people with visual impairments create additional obstacles to obtaining the right support. Working in collaboration with Derby Citizens Advice and Law Centre we are able to offer the following services:

• Access to specialist advice on benefits entitlements and claims, either by telephone or face-to-face.

• Assistance with form-filling.

• Support to overcome problems in dealing with welfare and benefits agencies.

• An assessment of your other needs, with referrals onwards to other sources of specialist support if required.
