On 23rd September 2012 Mary and Trevor took part in their toughest challenge to date all with the aim of raising money for Sight Support!
This was the Wild Thing Extreme Obstacle Race – a race that is infamous for challenging even the bravest of adventure runners. This is a strength sapping 5k or 10k trail run where participants have to tackle the Swamp of Doom, wade through quicksand, climb giant walls, traverse cargo nets and generally fight their way through freezing cold water, clinging mud and much more…
Set in a picturesque valley on the outskirts of the Peak District National Park our brave fundraisers put mind and body on the line to complete the eXtreme obstacle course.
All money collected by Mary and Trevor will go to Sight Support Derbyshire who do a great job in organizing events for Thomas and many other visually impaired children in Derbyshire.
Many thanks to everyone for giving so generously – and well done Mary and Trevor for suffering so graciously to raise money for this great cause.
